When they prepare for the documentary film, they prepare harder than anyone and get so involved in their roles that when their friend dies in a MiG-21 crash and the government lays the blame squarely on the pilot, they come together and fight the system until death does them apart! Truly moving and inspiring!!
The Big-Daddy of all friendship films! Jai-Veeru have set the benchmark for friendship – in real as well as reel life! Famous scenes like when Jai goes to talk about Veeru and Basanti’s marriage to “Mausiji” and actually screws up Veeru or Jai’s famous dialogue – “Ghadi Ghadi Drama karta hai” and ofcourse the immortal friendship anthem -“Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge!”

Farhan Akhtar’s debut film was a tale of 3 buddies – Akash,Sid and Sameer. The film was made legendary by the constant endeavors of Akash to “fix” Sameer’s love life, the arguments between friends and how friends stand up for each other in times of need!
This was Farhan Akhtar’s debut film as an actor and a singer! 4 friends who are also in a Rock band split-up after an argument and are reunited after many years when they’re all successful in their careers. The terminal illness of their keyboard player brings them together to play as a band one last time!
A film close to every engineer’s heart! 3 Idiots was about 3 friends who meet up during engineering and stick with each other through thick and thin! The movie was based on Chetan Bhagat’s best-seller novel “5 Point Someone- What not to do at IIT” Each one of us has laughed and cried through this movie while watching Rancho and his friends battle the system and win!
Who can forget this amazing movie which immortalized Rajesh Khanna and earned lot of acclaims for Amitabh Bacchan? The story revolved around a terminally ill man called Anand who has very few months to live but believes in living every moment to its fullest! How he meets a practical Doctor portrayed by Amitabh and how their friendship blossoms is the soul of the movie. The famous monologue – “Anand Maraa Nahi. Anand Marte Nahi!” has been etched in our memories forever!
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD)
ZNMD brings together 3 long lost friends for one of their Bachelor’s party – a trip to Spain in which each one has planned an adventure activity, which the other 2 don’t know about. The movies takes us through Spain and how their personal lives are affected and how friends support each other in tough times is what is portrayed beautifully in the film! A must watch!
Andaz Apna Apna
Haila! How did I forget this one? Who can forget the “Amar Prem Kahani” of Amar and Prem? Two jobless vain boys from India set out to woo Raveena Bajaj,the daughter of a millionaire and end up becoming the best of friends. Legendary scenes like “Julaab Scene”, “Do Dost ek Pyali Me Chai Piyenge” have the viewers in splits even after 20 years! The movie has gained a cult status in India !!
